Story of company

I was 29 years old when I lost my mother, Betty Jo Howard, to a sudden death; she was only 47. My wife was pregnant with our first daughter at the time. We were devastated and heartbroken that she would never be able to see her first grandchild. Today, I have two daughters, who have never met or known their Grandma Betty, and that pains me to no end.

I wish they could hear her voice, see her animated way of expressing herself, understand her personality traits and what it means to be related to her. Virtual Album Technologies’ vision is to be able to take all of your memories including your old pictures, slides, mementos, etc. along with your current digital format pictures, social media posts you select and stories of a persons life and weave it together into what we call Bio-Fabric.  Our Virtual Memoir Engine creates a “virtual biography” of a person’s life that you can view in Virtual Reality for the most realistic, memorable experience, you could ever imagine.

What would it mean to my kids, if I could create a 30 second vignette of my Mom introducing herself to her grandchildren? What would it mean to you to have the ability to create an experience like this for a loved one, mentor, historian or other important figure in your life or the lives of others?

This is the inspiration behind Virtual Album Technologies – one’s pursuit to change how we retrace the most memorable people and moments of our lives for the generations that follow us.
